One Community: March 2014

One Community is a monthly photo project in which participants photograph their lives and communities with a theme in mind. The theme varies by month. The goal is to both showcase similarities and differences in our communities worldwide – and bring us all closer together in understanding through art. Our Words for March are  shower, calm, green, and friendship.

Rules:  Post one or more photos interpreting the words for the month, and add your blog post to the link-up.  Please include a link back to the link-up post on your One Community post, and take a look at some of the other links and comment on them.  After all, this is all about building community!

Shower

I though winter was finally over as we were having warmer days and Daffodils started to bloom at my community but we were struck with another winter storm and it had been snowing for the past 2 days  in Mississippi. Snow in March especially in South ?? Here are the pics of the show showers at my community

Green

This was the pic I took a few months back before the start of winter.

Calm – This is a pic which I took a few days back on my way to exam center. I was very tensed as I was writing a competitive exam after a gap of 3 years. Even though I did well in Mock tests I wasn’t very confident, but as I was going to my exam center, which was about 40 miles away from my house. The long drive had a soothing effect and by the time I reached the hall I was calm and confident. 🙂  The results will be out in a few days, keeping my fingers crossed.

Long-Way-To-Go

Friendship – Well as for me true friends are those who help each other grow, just like the bee and the flower which support each other.

    • Thank you Jackie ! Yeah it’s a nice project, I am having fun trying to take pics to interpret the words 🙂 If you want to you can participate as well, I think you will like it 🙂

  1. Cool photo of the dew on the blade of grass! And good luck on the exam. The skies looked like they were getting ready for you, calming you down. And great photo of the bee! They aren’t easy to capture since they fly away :).

    • Thank you Lisa ! Yeah capturing bees and butterflies is not easy. I managed to get some pics of bees but never managed to get some shots of butterflies, hopefully I will get some this year. 🙂

    • Yeah Jo it’s been a strange and very severe winter this year :(. Thank you for your kind words, just trying to improve my photography 🙂

  2. Hoping the best for your exam results 😀 I miss green grass and I’m sorry you’re having to deal with snow. That stuff should stay in crappy places….like where I live 😉
